What Started Agent

For machines that can't send a web request themselves. Install the agent on the PC next to the machine, pair it with a code, and it sends that machine's heartbeat in the background, also after a restart. It only makes outgoing HTTPS requests, so no firewall ports need opening.

Before you run it

The agent isn't code signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn that the publisher is unknown. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

To check the file is the one we published, compare its SHA-256:

certutil -hashfile heartbeat-agent.exe SHA256
sha256sum heartbeat-agent-linux-amd64

Linux runs it as a systemd service. The full guide covers Linux, unpairing and uninstalling: Agent for Windows and Linux.
